Lurking

Kasafilms just found this at "ECF Labs" and its just blew our mind.

Lurking is a dance-video piece, made in Tel Aviv in 2014. The project involved wandering around the white city, together with my partner -- the photographer Tamuz Rachman -- looking for hope and dialogue in the midst of the ongoing sirens and violence. We strived to find unique ways to move in the city, following the city curves, rather than imposing a pre-conceived choreography onto its walls. Conversing and collaborating, rather than forcing. Dancing with- rather than fighting with-. During 2015, it was screened in the CINEDANS Festival (Amsterdam), in Festival Nomade (Montreal), in Wandering Expo (Jerusalem). On May 21st, the video will be part of the official selection of the International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy. This year's topic of the festival is "Politics of Space", directly relevant to the quest of Lurking: to engage in a spatial dialogue with the urban environment, inviting the walls of the city to dance along.

Directed by Jenny Birger & Tamuz Rachman .
